Jon Cleland is an adjunct professor at Heritage College & Seminary and Director of Young Adult Ministries at Grandview Church. Jon has work in local church ministry for 10+ years, serving in areas of youth, young adult, and discipleship ministries. Jon has a passion for teaching people about God and mentoring young people to grow in their faith. Jon is married to Laura, and together they have two children, Anna and Judah.

Dan is Senior Pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bloomfield where he previously served for 15 years in the roles of Youth and Worship Pastor. He and his wife Julie live in Prince Edward County with their four kids (ages 8-16).

Jason has been involved in various layers of ministry for more than 25 years and currently serves as one of the pastors at Temple Baptist Church in Cambridge, Ontario where he lives with his wife, Kellie, and their precocious Golden Retriever, Bo.

Curious about everything and an avid bushman, his interests range from most sports through music and other arts, from philosophy and the humanities through the hard sciences, economics and politics. Pastor Isaac, 31, serves as the Associate Pastor at First Filipino Baptist Church in the Annex area of Toronto. Pastor Isaac grew up in a Christian home and has served in his local church for over 10 years, overseeing the youth, young adults, and discipleship ministries. He has a strong love and passion for discipling and mentoring the next generation and seeing young people come to faith in Jesus Christ. He is a graduate of Toronto Baptist Seminary (B.T.S – 2016 / M.T.S – 2020).

Matthew is the Worship Director at Forward Church, where he leads with a passion for creating Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship environments. With over five years of worship leading experience, he brings both musical excellence and a heart for authentic connection with God. He is dedicated to discipling worship teams, raising up new leaders, and fostering a culture of worship that extends beyond Sunday mornings. Married for three years, Matthew and his wife are committed to building a life rooted in faith, community, and purpose.

Derek Hisson is married to Fiona. They have three kids; Aubrey 10, Aveline 9, and Sullivan 6. He loves sports, theatre, music and comedy. Derek currently serves as the Associate Pastor at James North Baptist Church, where he has been on staff for 9 years.

Sarah serves full-time as the Youth Associate at Emmanuel Barrie. Sarah has called Emmanuel home for as long as she can remember but has been on the staff team for the past 4 years. After completing Child and Youth Care (Georgian College), she attended seminary for Biblical Care and Counselling (Heritage College and Seminary). Her main roles is heading upLeadership Development and Spiritual Formations for students at Emmanuel. Her passion is to see youth understand their importance and value in the church.

For nine years, Bob has been serving in worship ministry within the Church, and currently serves at Bluewater Church in Sarnia, where he has served for almost four years, two as the Creative Arts Director, and two as a Worship Pastor. In addition to this, Bob leads a worship band called Backyard Worship, which was born back in 2018 out of the desire to see his city unified and revived. Since then, this ministry has developed into a worship collective of writers, producers, and leaders, who are passionate to not just see revival in their hometown, but desire to see it spread across Ontario through worship and through writing. He has a deep heart to specifically see revival sparked in that of the younger generation and is continually inspired by their heart for Jesus. Bob’s two greatest passions in ministry are leading worship grounded in Truth, and writing worship songs for the local Church, led by the Spirit, wrapped in Truth. Above all, Bob’s greatest ministry is to his loving wife, Shae. His primary mission is to be a faithful husband, and one day, a faithful father to his children.

Krysta Szkarlat is a Registered Psychotherapist who helps women find calm after anxiety, peace with their bodies, and sexual wholeness by working with the nervous system to create safety where it once sensed threat. She’s continually in awe of how God designed us to move toward healing when met with compassion, connection, and care. With advanced training in clinical sexology and a personal testimony of God’s healing after the wounding of purity culture and trauma, Krysta is passionate about helping all of God’s children remember their belovedness—and rediscover that the longing for connection and pleasure at the heart of our sexuality is a good gift from a good God. When she’s not counselling or teaching, you’ll find her watching The Office with her husband or diving into her latest creative obsession.

Tim has served 20+ years in ministry and is currently the National Alpha Youth Director at Alpha Canada. He has a Master of Divinity in Youth and Family Ministry from Tyndale Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Wilfred Laurier University. Tim has developed a passion to help people discover that sharing our faith is not just something we HAVE to do…it’s something we GET to do.

Tim is a regular speaker at youth camps, conferences, and retreats. He and his wife Carolyn have 4 children and a cat named Archie. In his spare time, Tim enjoys custom carpentry and refinishing, movies, and hanging out with his kids.

Elyse has been involved in youth disciplemaking for about 15 years, through her local churches and in her work as a missionary with Josiah Venture both in Poland and here in Canada. She enjoys getting to know young people and accompanying them on their journey of knowing Christ.

Hartley had been a youth pastor for 10+ years and now a missionary with IAFR Canada where his work is to come alongside churches to build vision and support their work in youth missions. His passion is to see youth discipled towards mission, and to see missions be a part of the spiritual formation of young people. Hartley and his wife enjoy spending time raising their newborn daughter, travelling and coffee!

Kyle Rolph has over 30 years of experience working with children and youth in a variety of venues. Over 20 of those years in St. Thomas and Elgin County.

Kyle joined the Elgin County YFC/Youth Unlimited team in May of 2012.

Kyle oversees the weekly youth group, is involved with several students in St. Thomas schools as a mentor and coach, and runs The Upper Room. The Upper Room is an emergency youth shelter open on an on-call, emergency basis to give young people in need of a safe, warm place to crash, somewhere to go for the night. Kyle also provides trusteeship support to several local youth at any given time.

Kyle is trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), safeTALK, ASK (Assessing for Suicide in Kids),  Mental Health First Aid, and Crisis Prevention and Intervention. He also holds a Certificate in Leadership Training from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor’s Degree from, what is now, Heritage College in Cambridge ON, and a Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

Kyle is a certified ASIST, safeTALK, and ASK Workshop trainer and is excited to see the impact that both of these workshops are having in the community.

Kyle and his wife Becky celebrated their 31th wedding anniversary earlier this summer and have 3 grown children, a son in law, a daughter in law, and became first time grandparents just before Christmas 2023.

Kyle received a life-saving liver transplant 26 years ago and enjoys fishing, playing drums, and tinkering around in his home Lego workshop creating and displaying a massive Lego Christmas village each year for the local railway museum.

Hey, I’m Dan Malloy and I’m excited to host a session at The Summit 2025! I was the Director of Student Ministries at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Orillia for 4.5 years, but I have also been involved with many camp ministries over my career. My wife and I just celebrated 7 years of marriage in August, and we have 2 wonderful kids, Eli (3) and Elsie (1), who keep us busy. I have a pretty eclectic mix of interests and hobbies that range from athletics to trading card games to drums so no matter who you are, I’m sure we can find something in common!

Matt serves as the Director of Coldwater Canada, a ministry that facilitates wilderness adventures that strengthen faith in Jesus, develop character and cultivate leadership. Along with his wife and a core team, he launched Coldwater in 2013. Matt is passionate about facilitating growth and expanding limits and lives with a coaching mindset to draw the best out of people. He is an Arrow Leadership Program grad, has an MA in Leadership and Management from Briercrest and holds certifications in leadership and transformational coaching. Outside of Coldwater, Matt enjoys teaching and loves coaching other leaders. He is married and is a dad of four active kids, so you will often find him at the rink, training for an adventure race or enjoying time outside.

Summerside Community Church is the church that Tyler grew up in, and it is the place where God first captured and called him to ministry. In 2014, Tyler graduated from Briercrest University with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry, where he focused on Biblical Studies, Youth Culture, and Adolescent Psychology and Counselling. Tyler recently graduated with a Masters of Theological Studies from Heritage College and Seminary.

Tyler and his wife Christy have been married since May 2017, and had their first daughter, Quinn, in 2022.

Tyler enjoys cooking, golfing, games of all varieties (board, lawn, video), photography, videography and graphic design, he knows way too much about superheroes and loves all things TV and movies.
